These are the negatives we pulled out of the cans. The images were upside-down because this is how light enters a little hole. Actually, this is how human eyes work, too. There was a fourth negative that turned black because of a (our) mistake. It’s been transformed in the most painting-ish photography we’ve ever made.



One of my favorite things about these images is the arched line at the top of some of them: this is the movement of the sun during the days of exposure
