Picture for picture

During my trips in Asia I figured how many times people asked me to pose for a selfie with them. The more children and teens were around, the more selfies I was asked for. It was awkward at first, then I realized I could ask for a portrait in return. It became fun. Here’s some of them.


Portavuota, with Carlo Grandinetti

A technical experiment showed us emptiness where we usually see crowds. In order to get this result we used stenotypic photography, turning simple cans into darkrooms. This procedure requires several days of exposure, and cans allowed us to go unnoticed for 10 days.
